Moore for the Future Endowment Campaign

Upcoming Events
Every Monday - 1 to 3 pm - American
      Mah Jongg group. Beginners as
      well as experienced players
      welcome to join in the fun.
June 1st to 27th - Art in the
     Library: Elizabeth Dyak displays
     her pop-up art using handmade
     paper. Exhibit open during library
     hours.
June 20th - 7:00 pm - Jazz and Dessert
     Gala. Come join in on an evening
     
of delectable, decadent desserts
     and delightful music featuring the
     Downeast Jazz Trio. Admission to
     the event is by donation to benefit
     the library and community center.
June 24th - During library hours-
     Reading to Nemo, the therapy
     dog. To set up a seesion for your
     child, call the library. 
June 26th - 6:00 pm -Candy Bar Bingo.
     If you enjoy playing bingo or just
     want to have some sweet fun, then
     don't miss this. For each candy bar
     you bring, you get a bingo card to
     play for the chance to win lots of
     candy bars!
July 7th - 10 am to Noon - Art Class
     with Audra Chrisite - Imprint design
     transfer and embroidery on fabric.
     Free. Class size is limited, so
     register in advance to be sure of
     securing a spot. All ages welcome
     (children under 10 must be
     accompanied by an adult).
July 10th - 6:00 pm - Family Movie
     Night - Annie - 118 min. PG.
     Enjoy this animated family
     comedy/drama about a foster kid
     , who lives with her mean foster
     mom, sees her life change when
     business tycoon and New York
     mayoral candidate Will Stacks
     makes a thinly-veiled campaign
     move and takes her in. Shown on
     the library's new BIG screen with
     our new high-quality projector for
     a real movie theater-style
     experience! Free. Concessions
     available by donation.
July 13th - 6:30 pm - Local author
     John Keller reads from his book
     Of Sea and Cloud and shares his
     compelling stories of his
     experience within thefishing and
     lobstering culture inMaine. Free.
     The authorwill b eavailable to sign
     copies of his book.
July 14th - 10 am - Come sing and
     celebrate superheros with Jennifer
     Armstrong, Storyteller and
     Musician. Jennifer's fiddle, banjo,
     bagpipes, cranky show and stories
     of Prince Eat Well, Mother Noola,
     and others will get toes tapping
     and voices singing and laughing
     along. Free.
July 21st - 10 am to Noon - Pop-Up Art
     Class with Elizabeth Dyak - Free -
     class size is limited so register in
     advance - ages 8 and up.
July 25th -8:30 am to 1 pm- Book,
     Bake, Plant, and Yard Sale. Be sure
     to come on by to pick up some
     great summer reading, delicious
     treats, and treasures for your
     home and garden. Note: we
     welcome donations of stuff (no
     clothes or old electronics, please)
     for the yard sale as well as plants
     and baked goods. If you have
     something to donate, contact

     to arrange a date and time.
     Volunteers are needed on the
     day of the sale as well!

The Library is easy to find: it is just off of Route 1 in Steuben, on the Village Road across from the Ella Lewis Grammar School. The driveway leads around back to the main entrance.
